Emma has an extensive background in the UK and International education & bookselling sectors. She is passionate for Business Development and data analytics, with extensive experience with the JS Group participating in and developing projects to support the business that have led to business development within JS Group.
Emma graduated with a 2:1 in Human Geography at the University of Strathclyde in 2012 after moving to the UK for the first time from Madeira at the age of 18; making Emma bilingual in both English and Portuguese.
After graduating she wrote a letter to the Managing Director of JS Group international division, and after an extensive interview process a specialized position was created specifically for Emma. After working with the international business for 5 years, Emma then transferred to the UK higher education sector and has really made an impact. JS Group and bookselling has run in Emma’s blood for many years – her father also worked for the JS Group in Scotland and abroad in the 60s/70s.
